Getting There Is Half The Fun
Located in the center of Northern Indiana, transportation to and from South Bend/Mishawaka is convenient and easy. The South Bend Regional Airport is the only multimodal transportation facility in the country offering interstate electric rail service. Here you'll find various airlines, Greyhound and Coach USA bus services and the South Shore Railroad linking our community directly to Chicago.

Amtrak (New York, Boston, Washington) has two daily trips served by two routes the Capitol Limited and the Lake Shore Limited.

seven daily trips - nine on weekends
The South Shore electric rail line connects South Bend Regional Airport with cities throughout northwestern Indiana, with a final destination of downtown Chicago, Illinois. Low cost rail service is ideal for commuters and pleasure travelers alike. Travel time to and from downtown Chicago is approximately 2 hours and 20 minutes.
NOTE: Schedules are subject to change. Visit the South Shore website for further information. Tickets can be purchased at the east end of the terminal or on line through the website. South Bend is on Eastern "New York" Time year round and is one hour later than Chicago. All other stations on the route observe Central “Chicago” time. All times shown on the schedule are local times.
