the COLLEGE CONNECTION program
Are Vocations an interest to you as a member of Serra? I would hope so! Are you concerned about your children or grandchildren losing contact with their Catholic faith while away at college? It seems we hear many Catholic parents express that concern.
Well, there is now a program to help our students as they leave home for college continue their faith journey. This is the time when they will begin making their own choices, including continued involvement in their Catholic faith.
For example the program provides the location of the Catholic Church and the time of masses. The names of the students are also sent to the Campus Ministers who then will make contact with the student. We are always encouraged to try new vocation programs in our Serra Clubs and parishes. Here is a great one!

The SERRA and NET Connection
This past year a successful effort was made to connect young missionaries of
the National Evangelization Team (NET) with Serra Clubs across our nation. NET
Teams, made up of 6 young men and 6 young women ages 18 to 28, visited over 70
Dioceses, giving retreats for young Catholics. The following information came
from a meeting of Serrans and Netters during the annual NET wrap-up week. About
15% of all team members enter the convent or Seminary after serving on NET. The
rest of the team are very good candidates as future Serrans.
